Stampin' For Fun Divas Color Challenge 2

Well, over at Stampin For Fun Divas, They're having a color challenge, but it turns out that I don't have any of those colors so instead I decided to participate in their second challenge. To make any 3-D project; so it could be a box, jewelry or pretty much anything. When I saw this well, let's just say that I got an 'idea'. ENJOY!!!

Sorry about the picture turning out sideways, but I was looking in my closet, found a little metal tin and decided to decorate it. Then this is what I came up with, hope you liked it!

FUN FACTS

Did you know that while Ronald Reagan was president he kept a jar of Jelly Bellies in the Oval Office and on Air Force One. And that on Air Force One he had a special holder built so that the jelly beans wouldn't spill during turbulence.

Did you know that 4.6 billion Jelly Bellies are eaten at Easter?

Did you know that Jelly Bellies were the first jelly beans in space aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger?

Did you know that Jelly Belly jelly beans that are not the right size and shape are called Belly Flops? And then sold in the factory store at a reduced price?

Did you know that if you stacked the jelly beans made in 2001 and 2002 end to end, that you would reach the moon?

Guiding and Research Questions

Did you know that me and my friend actually made this blog for a school project? Well if you didn't then we're still gonna tell you what we learned about jelly beans! First of all, our guiding qeustion was, 'How has the Jelly Belly company affected the sales of M&Ms?' After very intense research, we came to the conclusion that the Jelly Belly company is as strong as ever whether or not Jelly Belly is a competitor. We learned that internationally, M&Ms rank higher having 100 stores in different countries where as Jelly Belly only has 40 international stores. Also, we took a small survey and realized that most kids prefer M&Ms over Jelly Bellies. Also, our research question was, 'What is the most popular jelly bean flavor among 6th and 7th graders?' To find that answer we decided to take a survey and found out that the most popular flavor among 6th and 7th graders is, drumroll please.............root beer! But you should know that our results are not 100% acccurate, because only 24 people participated in the survey. We did though learn that if we were ever to redo the survey to ask people in person in order to get a greater amount of participants. Research question nuber was, 'Who invented the jelly bean?' After looking in multiple databases and books we have come to learn that the name of the person who invented the jelly bean has been lost over time. Finally, our very last question was, 'When was the Jelly Belly Company founded?' The Jelly Belly Company started making the jelly bean in 1976, but the name officially changed to Jelly Belly in 2001 from its original name being Herman Goelitz Candy Company. Thank you if you read this entire post, because we know it was very long!
